I regret the decision of the town council to scrap the historical nautical docking building "Vrieshuis Amerika" at the Oostelijke Handelskade.
It was lived by some well organized young free crew... with a mission, wich well fitted in this daily city life...
It was so cultural...
Bursted by new free fighted small companies and art exibitions/work places...
One of the best skate floors and skate competitions in Europe...
I hope I get the possibillity to blame the responsible councilor for the loss of potential city blossom
Also the story of the formal large historical fleet of Mr. Harry Smit. He was the captain who sailed in 1992 84.000 people on e.g the "Europa" and some more traditional historical boats
Mr. Smit is a nation hero for keeping the dutch sailing. And I know Amsterdam smelled dollars(guilders) and was not aware of his hero feeling! Amsterdam politics just kicked Mr. Smit it's company out of the city. So sad....
